Desafortunadamente, me voy a perder la exposición sobre Tim Walker que está mostrando el Design Museum de Londres. Pero, siempre puedo ver sus magníficas fotos (siempre un poco locas).

Unfortunately, I am going to miss the Tim Walker exhibition at the London Design Museum. The good news is that I can always enjoy his great photos (always a bit crazy).

Knitted clothes from magic Chiloé

Me encantan estas prendas de punto que fabrica Kelgwo. Y aún más porque están hechas en Chiloé, una pequeña isla en el sur de Chile, que es sin duda, un lugar mágico.
I love these knitted clothes that Kelgwo makes. Also, because they are made in Chiloé, a little island in the south of CHile that is a truly magic place.

The style of... Rachel Bilson

En temas de moda, me encanta el estilo de Rachel Bilson, informal, pero siempre con un toque original. Siempre me inspira ver lo que lleva ella para crear mis looks.

I love Rachel Bilson´s style. I always feel inspired by what she wears, and how she styles it. Her style is casual, with a quirky touch.

Estas fotos las encontre en el blog de Fashionisima, a la que tambien le encanta Rachel. Me gusta mucho la chaqueta azul de la primera foto, los bolsos grandes que suele llevar y esos monisimos vestidos.

I particularly like the blue jacket. the big bags and the lovely dress she wears.

Me encanta como mezcla determinadas prendas. La chaqueta de punto con el vestido, la capita con la blusa amplia. Tambien me gustan los zapatos de color amarillo de la tercera foto.

She is very good at mixing and matching. A knitted jacket with a dress, a small cape with a floaty blouse... I love her yellow shoes in the third photo!

Rachel ha creado una linea para DKNY, llamada Edie Rose, de la que por supuesto, ya soy fan. Me gusta sobre todo la camisa blanca con el lazo negro, el vestido negro con el toque amarillo del cinturón y el poncho. La foto es de Hipermoda.

Rachel has designed a clothing line from DKNY called Eddie Rose. Obviously, I really like it. It´s very Rachel. My favourites are the white shirt with the black lace, the black dress with the yellow belt and the poncho.

Old & New

Me encanta este salón que he visto en la revista Nuevo Estilo. La combinación de elementos clásicos y modernos. La luminosidad de la habitación. Y sobre todo, el mood board colocado sobre el mueble del fondo, que añade personalidad y diversión a la decoración.

I love this living room from the magazine Nuevo Estilo. The combination of old and new elements. The light of the room. And specially, the mood board at the end, that adds personality and fun to the room.

New beginnings

I love those times of the year when we are given a chance to start again. And again.
January, a new year. A whole 12 months to make yourself better now that you are going to start cycling to work, or running in the morning. And, of course, only eating organic food from now on.
March, spring, spring, spring! We have more time for long drinks with friends, organize BBQs and go for long walks on the weekend.
June, summer is here! You can go anywhere you choose and be someone else for a couple of weeks! Or just be a more relaxed you at home!
September, the end of the summer... but the beginning of a new life, where we promise to spend more time outside, cook for those we love, enjoy the evening with a good book... and call mum and sister at least once a week.
We may not actually do all these things, but we do some of them, if only for a while. And most importantly, we dream of who we can be. And that´s the first step.

Some journeys

I love traveling, but, most of the time, for me it´s about the destination (getting to know a different place, its people its culture...). The journey is just the way to get there. But sometimes, only sometimes, the journey becomes more important than the destination:
A Navimag trip from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales, Chile, around the fjords, the islands, and the glaciers of North Patagonia.
Riding in the roof of a train through amazing landscape from Riobamba to the Devil´s nose in Ecuador.
An impromptu road trip with good friends, from Oxford to Edinburgh, with time to barely see the Scottish capital but plenty of time to chat, to laugh, to listen to music...

Some of those things... that are important to us.
Those things, big or small, that make us smile.
Or, those, they always seem big... that make us angry!
Those things that make life what it is!
Just some of those things.
